About the Libraries
Administrative Unit Reviews
Under campus policy (UCD PPM 200-30) colleges and divisions are responsible for the conduct of an Administrative Unit Review on a minimum of a five-year cycle. The intention of these reviews, or AURs, is to ensure that unit activities continue to resonate with the campus mission and goals. AURs also are valuable from the perspective that they confirm effective and efficient operations of a unit and allow for the opportunity to implement change intended to improve or streamline operations and maximize the use of existing human and financial resources.
Given the size and scope of the General Library, an Administrative Unit Review focusing on one particular aspect or program is conducted periodically. The range of AURs listed here is illustrative of the variety of General Library activities.
