Government Information and Maps Department
The Government Information and Maps Department is located on the Lower Level of Shields Library. The department acquires, processes and makes available government information and maps in all formats. Our government information and map collections are extensive and include federal and state depository material, retrospective collections, and electronic data. We provide reference assistance during scheduled hours as well as individualized service by appointment. Customized bibliographic instruction, and printed or web handouts and guides are available on request. Government information is located throughout the university libraries, including the Government Information Stacks in the lower level, as well as on the Internet or in CD-ROM or DVD. Regardless of format or location, the Government Information & Maps Reference desk is a great place to start for historical, specialized or electronic government and mapping information.
