- Open an Existing Reference Library
- File -> Open -> Open Library
- Open Examples
- Open Paleo.enl
- Customize the Library Window
- Edit -> Preferences
- Click Display Fields
- Click Reference Type
- Click OK
- Scroll to right
- Click Sort
- Click Year Column Heading -> Ascending
- Click Year Column Heading -> Descending
- Click Author Column Heading -> Ascending
- Click Author Column Heading -> Descending
- Setting a Default Library
- Click Edit -> Preferences
- Click Libraries
- Click Add Open Libraries
- Click OK
Searching Remote Databases from EndNote
- Open a New Database
- File -> New
- File Name -> Test.enl
- Click Save
- Search and Import PubMed references from EndNote
- File -> Connect -> Connect -> PubMed (NLM)
- Type -> Radial Keratotomy
- Field -> Any Field
- Connector -> AND
- Type -> Follow-Up Studies
- Field -> Keywords (MESH)
- Click Perform Search
- Retrieve References From: 1 through 10
- Click OK
- Click Copy All References To -> Test.enl

- Search & Import References from PubMed
- Search PubMed
- Search PubMed for -> Sushi
- Click Go
- Check boxes to select records
- Click Clip Add
- Click Clipboard
- Change Summary to Medline Display
- Click Display
- Click Text
- File -> Save As -> Sushi.txt
- Click Save
- Switch to EndNote
- Import PubMed references
- File -> Import
- Import Data File -> Sushi.txt
- Click Open
- Import Option -> PubMed (NLM)
- Duplicates -> Discard Duplicates
- Click Import
- Switch to CAB Abstracts (see /ul/research/databases/?list=med)
- Search PubMed
- Search & Import References from CAB Abstracts
- Search CAB Abstracts
- Find -> Bovine and Brucellosis
- Field -> Title
- Languages -> English
- Click Start Search
- Click Save
- Which Records do you want to save? Record Number 1 to 10 of current search
- Which fields? All Fields
- Include -> Record number and database name AND Field Labels -> Short Labels
- Click Save Records
- File Name -> BovineBrucellosis.txt
- Click Save
- Switch to EndNote
- Import CAB Abstracts References
- File -> Import
- Import Data File -> BovineBrucellosis.txt
- Click Open
- Import Option -> CAB Abstracts (SP)

- Search CAB Abstracts
