Web Based Email

Introduction

Checking email via a web browser can be very convenient when you are travelling. The library provides Zimbra, which you should use to read your departmental mail. If you have not migrated to the library server for your primary email account, you must use the legacy campus Geckomail system.

Zimbra

  1. Access Zimbra at https://mail.lib.ucdavis.edu and you will be prompted to enter your username and password.

Your Kerberos login and password may not match your library login and password. If you do not know your Kerberos password, please visit Computing Accounts. Information Technology Infrastructure Services can not look up or change your Kerberos password for you.

  2. After logging in to DistAuth you will be asked to login to your mail server. To check your library mail please use your library user name followed by "@mail.lib.ucdavis.edu".
