Geography of Bliss

Fall Quarter 2009
Searching for Happiness in the Library
This year's Campus Community Book Project has selected Eric Weiner's Geography of Bliss. (Boston, MA: Twelve, 2008.) To celebrate this project we offer a brief bibliography on happiness studies which may serve as additional reading. This list of articles is composed of a selection of current academic journal articles found by searching the Library's licensed databases, PsycInfo, Sociological Abstracts, and Philosophical Index. The articles were then exported to the bibliographic software Endnote, and printed out in APA Style.
From this list a narrower selection of articles were located by using the UC-eLinks button in the database, in order to find our Library's subscription. An exhibit for the Geography of Bliss in the display case in the lobby of the Peter J. Shields Library displays print-outs of the first pages of some of these articles.
It was easy. And you can learn how to make your own bibliography of happiness, or any other subject, by speaking with a Librarian in the University Library.
