It provides tools to look up, view and deliver data, reports, tables, maps and fact sheets on United States population, economy and industry statistics. Large and small scale geographies, eg., states, counties, places, census tracts and blocks can be searched. Data sets are from the Decennial Census, American Community Survey, Annual Population Estimates, Economic Census, and annual economic surveys. All data sets and statistics may be freely downloaded or viewed online.

DDRS is a collection of over 75,000 primary source government documents The documents cover the post-World War II period through the 1970's and later. Nearly every major foreign and domestic event of these years is included (such as the Cold War, Vietnam Conflict and civil rights movement). Some of the source agencies included are the Central Intelligence Agency, Department of State, Department of Defense, plus the White House, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Department of Justice. The documents are provided by the presidential libraries, that release them as researchers request them.

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations maintains an international information system for the agricultural sciences and technology that produces the AGRIS and CARIS databases. AGRIS indexes world literature collected from AGRIS resource centres in over 100 countries worldwide. AGRIS covers all aspects of agricultural sciences and technology, including grey literature not available through normal publication and distribution channels, such as unpublished scientific and technical reports, theses, conference papers and government publications. AGRIS indexes FAO sales publications and documents, including main documents and project reports. Use the Search Assistant for advanced searching by filed (title, author, etc,) and by date.
